Delivery & Fulfillment Policy

This Delivery & Fulfillment Policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding the processing, shipping, and fulfillment of orders placed on the Farmer Harvest platform ("Platform"). By using our services, buyers and sellers agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Order Processing

  • Orders are processed by the respective Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Cooperatives, or Producer Groups registered on the Platform.
  • Sellers are responsible for confirming order acceptance within 24 hours of placement.
  • Buyers will receive confirmation notifications via email and/or SMS once their order is accepted.

2. Delivery Timelines

  • Hyperlocal Orders: Orders meant for local delivery are typically fulfilled within 1-5 business days, depending on the seller’s location and logistics availability.
  • Regional & National Orders: Orders beyond the seller’s immediate operational area may take 5-15 business days for delivery.
  • Bulk & Institutional Orders: Special arrangements may be required for large orders, and delivery timelines will be communicated directly to buyers.

3. Shipping & Logistics

  • Sellers are responsible for ensuring proper packaging and timely dispatch of goods.
  • Logistics services may be provided by third-party courier partners or arranged directly by sellers.
  • Shipping charges, if applicable, will be displayed at checkout before payment confirmation.
  • Tracking details (if available) will be shared with buyers for real-time order monitoring.

4. Buyer Responsibilities

  • Buyers must provide accurate shipping details at the time of order placement.
  • It is the buyer’s responsibility to be available to receive the delivery or authorize a representative to do so.
  • Any failed delivery attempts due to incorrect addresses or unavailability may result in additional delivery charges.

5. Order Fulfillment & Delays

  • While every effort is made to deliver orders on time, unforeseen circumstances (weather, strikes, regulatory delays, etc.) may cause delays.
  • If an order is delayed beyond the committed timeline, buyers will be notified with an updated delivery estimate.
  • In case of non-fulfillment by a seller, buyers may request a refund as per the Return & Refund Policy.

6. International & Long-Distance Orders

  • Orders shipped outside the immediate geography of the seller’s operational area may require additional time for customs clearance and shipping logistics.
  • International shipping (if applicable) will be subject to customs duties, taxes, and other regulations as per the destination country’s laws.

7. Order Cancellation

  • Buyers may cancel orders before they are processed and dispatched.
  • Once an order has been shipped, cancellations are not permitted.
  • Sellers reserve the right to cancel orders due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case buyers will be notified and refunded as per policy.
